News clippings — November 2005

November 1, 2005 by Tara Brabazon

Our first piece of news commenced on November 1 when Joanne Smith, our Web designer for the PCC. She delivered an outstanding presentation on the role of Crowded House in negotiation the differences and similarities between Australia and Aotearoa/New Zealand. It was great night and many members of the PCC were in attendance.

It was a wonderful night. Jo is soon to travel to Wellington to present a conference paper at the International Association for the Study of Popular Music. We wish her every success, and we look forward to hearing about her success upon her return.

We also have fantastic news about the head of the Critical Digital hub. Mike Kent has just achieved his doctorate. This is a remarkable achievement, from a remarkable man. It was a great thesis. Well done, Mike.

Have a great November — there will be much news to report in December.

Be well.
