News clippings — March 2005

March 1, 2005 by Tara Brabazon

One event dominated the Popular Culture Collective in March. It was a special event that most of our Perth-based members shared.

Liverpool of the South Seas was launched, thanks to the organisational brilliance of Debbie Hindley. On behalf of the Collective, we would like to thank her for the effort, attention to detail and care.

We would also like to thank our sponsors. 78 Records opened up their shop to us on a busy Friday night. Little Creatures provided their quality beer. Both UWA Press and the Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research) at Murdoch University supported our night.

Importantly, I would like to thank Matt Hodge for his time and beats, the book's contributors for their time and support, Gordon and Valentin for their services behind the bar.

What a great night. Have a look at the pictures. Remember and enjoy.

On to April we go — Access All Areas is coming!
